4 Podcasts To Make You A Better Investor

If you’re passionate about investing, you’ve probably spent a fair amount of time searching for the best investing podcasts on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I’ve been there myself, having listened to the good, the bad, and the ugly along the way. After all, aren’t we all in search of the best strategies, stock ideas, and education to improve our investing results? Hopefully, this article helps narrow down your search.

Here are 4 podcasts I believe can help you become a more knowledgeable and well-rounded investor.

  1. We Study Billionaires – for wisdom
  2. Focused Compounding – for education
  3. Chit Chat Money – for stock ideas
  4. Acquired – for inspiration

We Study Billionaires

“We interview and study famous financial billionaires including Warren Buffett, Ray Dalio, and Howard Marks, and teach you what we learn and how you can apply their investment strategies in the stock market. We Study Billionaires is the largest stock investing podcast show in the world with 95,000,000+ downloads.”

We Study Billionaires podcast

Wisdom – this is what I get most from We Study Billionaires. Some of the greatest investors of all time have been featured on the show, and I love hearing their investing strategies, personal philosophies, mistakes, and advice.

If you’re looking for some sage advice from a few of the greatest investing minds of all time, We Study Billionaires is the podcast for you.

Focused Compounding

“Focused Compounding is a website for buy and hold value investors. Inside, you will find research writeups written by hedge fund manager, Geoff Gannon. Experience all this in the company of investors who follow the principles of Buffett, Munger, and Fisher instead of the whims of the crowd.”

Focused Compounding podcast

Education – this is what I get most from Focused Compounding. Co-host Geoff Gannon is a walking encyclopedia of investing knowledge. The way he’s able to rattle off statistics and business operating metrics is impressive, even intimidating. His knowledge is almost a deterrent to me as a listener because he often talks above my level of understanding. At the same time, I find myself learning more about investing by listening to Geoff and co-host Andrew Kuhn.

Chit Chat Money

“Uncover potential new investments by listening to Chit Chat Money. Every Thursday, we interview analysts on our “Deep Dive” episodes. On Sundays, we release our casual “Investing Power Hour” episodes. If you love our research, we’d recommend subscribing to Chit Chat Money Plus (CCM+). CCM+ is $5 a month and gives you access to our “Not So Deep Dive” stock research episodes along with our premium newsletter with our written research.”

Stock ideas – this is what I get most from Chit Chat Money. I especially enjoy the “Deep Dive” and “Not So Deep Dive” episodes hosted by Ryan Henderson and Brett Schafer. Ryan and Brett do a good job talking about stocks in a way that’s easy to understand. They also bring a lot of anecdotal evidence into their discussions which I appreciate. The only downside to Chit Chat Money is there is now a $5 per month subscription to access the Deep Dive episodes.

Acquired

“Every company has a story. Learn the playbooks that built the world’s greatest companies — and how you can apply them as a founder, operator, or investor.”

Acquired podcast

Inspiration – this is what I get most from Acquired. Ever wondered how Walmart came to be? Or why Warren Buffett decided to invest in Brooks Running shoes? The Acquired podcast interviews founders and leadership of some of the most iconic companies in the world to uncover how they came to be. You can’t listen to the podcast without walking away inspired and motivated to do something great.
